Electric Vehicle Incentive Program

Electric Vehicle Incentive Program

Many Manitoba families are looking to make the switch to an electric or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (EVs). Your government is there to help you along the way with a program to make this goal more achievable.

We are offering an electric vehicle rebate for eligible Manitobans, worth up to $4,000 for a new battery electric or plug-in hybrid and $2,500 for eligible recipients of a used battery electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid.

This rebate will be provided to Manitoba owners after they register their vehicle with Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI). The rebase applies only once per vehicle. Also, it is only available once to a vehicle purchaser or lessee.

Qualifying purchases from August 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024 are eligible for a rebate. Rebates will also be given to purchasers of EVs from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2026.
