TO ALL REAL ESTATE BROKERS,
AUTHORIZED OFFICIALS AND SALESPEOPLE

RE-LICENSING EDUCATION (MCE 10)

This is the tenth year of continuing education which will commence on April 1, 2010. The topics for the Re-Licensing Education Program are Legal Update and Practice Guidelines.

The Manitoba Securities Commission requires that each registrant under The Real Estate Brokers Act complete the MCE requirement for that year prior to renewing his/her registration under the Act. The Commission has the authority to suspend the registration of any registrant under the Act who fails to complete the MCE requirement for a given year.

The Manitoba Securities Commission has delegated the responsibility for administering licensing education courses and examinations (including re-licensing education) to the Manitoba Real Estate Association.

Registrations renewed on, from and after April 1, 2010 will be conditional on completing MCE 10 before the next renewal date.

A copy of the registration form can be obtained from the Commission’s web site. www.msc.gov.mb.ca. Please ensure that all registrants obtain a copy of this form. Registration is made through the Manitoba Real Estate Association as indicated on the form.

Note: If you register before June 30, 2010 for the Re-Licensing Education (MCE 10) Program you will only be charged $75.00. Anyone registering after that date will be charged $100.00. You may register for any of the classes at any time.

The last class for MCE 9 is March 24, 2010 and no further seminars are being scheduled. Anyone who has not taken MCE 9 by this date would be required to take MCE 9 by passing an exam. If this applies to you contact the MREA.

All new salespeople that became registered as of January 1, 2010 will be required to take MCE 10 before their next renewal date.
