As of March 1, 2022, Manitoba's proof of vaccination requirement is no longer mandatory. Some businesses/venues may choose to continue to require proof of immunization for access. Manitoba's immunization card and verifier app will continue to be available after March 1, 2022 for businesses/individuals to use, when needed.
The Manitoba Immunization Verifier app allows individuals and businesses to seamlessly scan the QR code on a Manitoba Immunization card or a Pan-Canadian PVC to confirm if an individual is fully immunized. When a QR code is scanned, the device will display a green screen with a checkmark and the person’s name to indicate they are immunized, or a red screen with an ‘x’ to indicate either the person does not meet the Manitoba eligibility requirements on their PVC, or there is a technical issue that caused the failure.
A government issued photo ID should be used to confirm the identify of the individual presenting the QR code.

If you encounter the error message: “Unable to Verify” on your mobile device, please log out of the Manitoba Verifier application and log back in.

Manitobans are strongly encouraged to use their Manitoba Immunization card within Manitoba when proof of vaccination is needed. The QR code contains only the name and immunization status.
The Pan-Canadian PVC is issued by the individual provinces and territories in Canada. They all meet the same standard in terms of look and feel. However, the provinces and territories may not have the same eligibility rules as Manitoba. Visitors are encouraged to check the Province of Manitoba | For Residents website for more information.
The Manitoba Immunization Verifier Application is available on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
Once you download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store you will be asked to register using a valid email address. When your email address has been validated, the application will open to the camera ― ready to scan the QR code on a digital or physical immunization card.
Effective November 18, 2021, the Verifier application will also be able to read the QR codes on a Pan-Canadian PVC. The scanner will know which QR it is reading. You will not have to do anything differently.Once you have successfully downloaded the Manitoba Immunization Verifier app it will open to the camera.

Yes. Individuals may use a print out of their QR code as a temporary physical card. The QR code must scanned and identification will be required to validate the individual's identity.
