Provincial Response Level: Restricted

While COVID-19 vaccination rates are increasing, community transmission of COVID-19 is occurring and case counts are rising quickly. As of Tuesday, October 5, 2021, the Chief Provincial Public Health Officer has set the response level to orange.

Changes to existing public health orders will take effect January 11, 2022 at 12:01 a.m.

Additional Restrictions in Southern Health-Santé Sud

The municipalities of Cartier, Headingley, Macdonald, Ritchot (Niverville-Ritchot), St. François Xavier and Taché that are geographically located in the Southern Health-Santé Sud health region, are exempt and considered to be part of the Winnipeg Capital Region for the following restrictions under the current public health orders.

Retail stores and malls:

  • Retail stores and malls (including markets, garden centres, and occasional pop-up retail) capacity is permitted at 50 per cent in the Southern Health-Santé Sud health region.
