The Commodity Futures Act gives authority to the commission to regulate trading of futures contracts and options that are traded on an exchange. Futures contracts and options are used by hedgers to reduce risk, and by speculators to generate a return on investment. In addition to what is set out in the Act, the following regulations, rules and policies apply.
